On March 1st the Consulate General of Canada will be sponsoring a webinar “Making the Most of the U.S. Private Label Opportunity” to be conducted by Jim Wisner. This hour-and-a-half seminar, directed at Canadian manufacturers, will address the state of the game in the growing U.S. private label marketplace, new ideas and innovations in private label marketing, and the special role of premium and imported products in driving new store brand growth. NASFT Announces Best Practice Initiative

The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) will be developing a Best Practices Guide for maximizing success in the specialty food industry. Wisner Marketing has been selected to facilitate this project. A select committee with members from each of the NASFT Advisory Council’s will be kicking-off the project in New York City later this month. The project is anticipated to be completed in time for the Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C. this summer. In spite of a sluggish economy, specialty foods have continued their steady growth as consumers seek out inexpensive pleasures that they can enjoy at home.
